In the hills of Cassino, there is a war cemetery dedicated to the World War II heroes. From the winged lion gazebo, you can see the well-groomed trees and shrubbery keeping company with the markers of the fallen heroes.

At the center, there is a small pond with lily pads and small paths to large memorial tablets of names of the fallen.
